Throughout a career that spanned over 30 years at AUC, Dr. Sherif El-Kassas has touched and influenced hundreds of students in ways that go beyond the confines of a student-professor relationship. He was a true mentor that genuinely believed that it was his sworn duty to help his students, current and past, to soar high and fulfill their true potential. He always kept an open door, always listened, offered guidance, support to many of us when we were contemplating key life decisions.
Dr. Sherif was a true embodiment of the values upon which AUC has always distinguished itself. His academic excellence was beyond reproach and his moral compass never failed. He conducted himself with such grace, honor and integrity that are very rare in this day and age. Moreover, he was a true believer in AUC and its mission to provide quality education and dedicated his adult life in support of this mission.
